One of these is phenylethlyamine, which causes alertness and a degree of excitement, quickens the pulse rate, and makes you happy. Phenylethylamine is sometimes called “the love drug” as it arouses feelings similar to those that occur when you’re in love. Another neurotransmitter, serotonin, is known as a mood-lifter. A chemical that causes the release of serotonin into the brain is tryptophan and guess what it’s found in chocolate More recently chocolate has been in the news as beneficial for lowering blood pressure. Evidence suggests that a small amount of dark chocolate eaten each day can assist in heart health.

bbchocolatecom is a artisan chocolate company based in central Scotland a short drive from Stirling Castle. All our chocolates are hand crafted in small batches by our Chocolatier in the dedicated micro factory. Our quality focus make our chocolates the special treats our customers deserve. We start with an idea then develop a recipe that delivers the flavour sensation your tongue seeks out. Then we create the shells to finish our bespoke product. After the new flavour is ready we move into small batch production hand making and filling all our chocolates before applying the finishing touches and packaging. Our flavours change based on the seasons and our chocolatier’s inspiration! Production of our chocolates is normally based on our seasonal boxes, or by special order. This allows us to deliver the level of focus and freshness a quality bespoke product requires. We are more than happy to discuss supplying your special order if you get in touch. Over 2021 we will have a selection of seasonal boxes each with a mix of old and new flavours to help you celebrate these special occasions. We are happy to prepare and deliver on your behalf for anyone who is unable to travel due to health or restrictions. Our on-line shop will be available to take orders for these seasonal chocolates approximately 1 month before the day. As we limit orders to match our production capability we close the online shop again to ensure we delivery the best service everytime. We recommend ordering early to secure your special treats!

If your local to Clackmannanshire then our Click and Collect service is available. To minimise risk of infection hand over is outside in a private area and all purchases are double wrapped so the outer packaging can be easily sanitised without impacting your chocolates. The service is for pre purchased orders and strictly by appointment.
